Ray Ban sunglasses were first produced 75 years ago. The US Air Force reported in the 1930's that the glare from the sun was giving them headaches and altitude sickness. The green glass lens produced would cut out the glare without obscuring vision and became iconic at the same time. The expansion of the range saw the introduction of the G15 grey lense, a neutral grey lense giving true colour. The frame designs have also been added to but the classics such as the Aviator and Wayfarer have stood the test of time.
